Positive Social Impact is the short answer to what it is we want to contribute to Durham and to the Triangle as a whole. Our members represent missions, ideas, companies, groups, and organizations who are Impact-Driven - where the capital gain goals aren't in dollars but in facilitating positive change and growth in our community. It is our goal to be a home base for individuals and teams who are in love with what they do and who have dreams of making this shared society a little better than when they found it.
DBCo. is committed to a mission of inclusivity, consideration, accessibility, diversity, compassion, empathy, and respecting the neighborhoods and communities of our city and region. We hope to build a membership and an impact that values the very same.
For a coworking space to truly build and affect community, it must lean heavy on the collaboration that can come from its membership and partnerships. In short, community-building comes from the community itself. Perhaps the biggest part of DBCo.'s mission, then, is to create a membership base that actually reflects the communities we hope to serve.
Our members and partners have a strong influence in the atmosphere here at DBCo. and will continue to shape the space and our programming calendar. Our content will be created by our members and community, for our members and community.
It is our aim to be a space where humans can come together to problem-solve, collaborate, leverage assets and skills, combine networks, combine friendships, vent, cheer, laugh, cry, feel safe, feel encouraged, and...just hang out.
Durham Bottling Company is a 16,000 square foot historic industrial warehouse complex located East Downtown Durham. Originally a manufacturing and shipping facility for a bottling enterprise, it later became the home of Budd Piper Roofing. In 2018 it was transformed into a modern industrial workspace that has dynamic seating options, private corners, meeting space, conference rooms, dedicated event space, and a wide selection of private office suites. Large windows and skylights help light the space through the day, warm lamps and varied lighting illuminate in the evening for the night owls.
